This is an interesting article to why Prince2s approach to quality may well be flawed. Although I think the criticism may be a harsh one. Interestingly it states how often customers don’t really know what they want so pre-defining a set of quality criteria before a product is produced may be difficult as products can change over a project and also setting specific criteria may be very difficult as products can change a lot during the process of a project. interestingly this is where an Agile approach to project management would be more affective than a prince2 approach.
I am qualified in prince2 and like the prince2 methodology. However I am moving towards and favouring an Agile approach to project management. Although a lot of successful project management comes down to a hard work ethic and confident communications skills. And no matter what methodology you use if you do not apply yourself properly it probably won’t matter.
